Biography

Rony Aoun excelled in reviving the first ever built Shopping Mall in Qatar over 3 years of expansion, face-lifting and upgrading of its Tenant Mix (2001-04). He then moved on to Lebanon in 2004 to head since its inception the Development and Management of CITYMALL, Dora, the largest Shopping Mall in Lebanon with a GLA of 85,000 m2 (2004-12).

Today SMAG is Consulting for the Development, Leasing & Management for 6 upcoming Shopping Malls in Lebanon, CENTRO MALL Jnah being the highlight, & 4 in Iraq between Erbil, Baghdad, Najaf & Karbala.

Synopsis

Rony Aoun obtained a double major in Environmental Engineering (water treatment) & Transportation Engineering (traffic planning) from Northeastern University in Boston MA, USA.

With it he managed to cap his technical education with the CSM / ASM North American and Abroad official CERTIFICATION from the International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) NY, USA, to Develop & Manage Shopping Malls & various activities that fit under the Retail Real Estate Industry.

Being a former Board Member of the Middle East Council of Shopping Center (MECSC) he widened his Regional & International network to positively tackle most Shopping Malls Developers, Retailers, F&B and Entertainment key players to the benefit of his clients.
